“Jerry Falwell remains in a Lynchburg hospital with pneumonia, his son said 2/23. Falwell, 71, checked into the hospital 2/20 'suffering from congestion caused by a viral infection.' Jerry Falwell Jr.: 'They did determine (2/22) that he does have pneumonia.' Falwell Jr. said his father 'has trouble breathing but otherwise is OK.' Falwell Jr.: 'Anytime somebody this age gets pneumonia you have to take it seriously' (Lynchburg News & Advance, 2/24).
